Funny, serious, or both. She verifies her ID, picks a board-certified surgeon, and her goal is set to that surgeon's written quote.
Supporters chip in
Anyone can give $10, $25, $50, $100, or any amount they like. No account needed.
Her surgeon gets paid
Once the surgery is scheduled, the money for it goes straight to the surgical practice. Not to a personal bank account.
Everyone gets a thank-you
After surgery she can send all of her supporters the same personal thank-you, like a short video or a swimsuit photo.

Questions
Is my donation tax-deductible?
No. Fundbags is a for-profit crowdfunding platform, not a charity, so donations are not tax-deductible.
Does my money go to her or to the surgeon?
The amount needed for surgery is paid directly to her board-certified surgeon once the procedure is scheduled. If a campaign raises more than its goal, the extra goes to her for recovery and related costs. Every campaign shows the most it will accept.
What if the surgery never happens?
Donors are refunded. See our refund policy for the details.
Do I have to donate a certain amount to get a thank-you?
No. Thank-yous are sent to every supporter after surgery, whatever they gave. Nothing on Fundbags is for sale.
How does Fundbags make money?
A 5% platform fee on donations, optional tips from supporters, and advertising from surgical practices, which is always labeled as sponsored.
